An excited crowd was on hand for the launch of the Wildlife Generation Pro Cycling Team, powered by Maxxis in San Diego, CA. 

Team Manager and long time cycling veteran, Danny Van Haute, along with team owner, CEO, Film Director & Conservationist, Leah Surgis, have assembled a talented group of riders and future starts for this upcoming season. 

The Wildlife Generation, based in Southern California, "is a company devoted to protecting the planet and its wildlife," team owner Leah Sturgis commented. "Our focus is on conservation of wildlife habitat to prevent species extinction."

"Wildlife Generation is an organization offering charitable services for wildlife and habitat conservation, promoting public awareness in the field of environmental conservation, conducting educational services, programs, and workshops in the field of wildlife preservation and conservation."

Sturgis said she believes the team will be a perfect vehicle for spreading the word about the conservation issues the company promotes.

The team is backed by an arsenal of supporting sponsors. Maxxis, Specialized, FSA, Vision, Zulu Audio, Defeat, JoJe Bar, Cateye, ISM, birdworx, along with Athlos, have joined forces to support this new team.
