The Maryland Interscholastic Cycling League got under way with the inaugural Fair Hill Frenzy. Parents, friends, coaches, and volunteers helped launch the first race with 170 happy kids participating. Racing was fast and intense all day long. Racers gave their all, finishing with smiles and high-fives. 

This is the first race for the  Maryland League as part of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association. Founded in 2009, the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (“NICA”) develops interscholastic mountain biking programs for student-athletes across the United States. NICA provides leadership, services and governance for regional leagues to produce quality mountain bike events, and supports every student-athlete in the development of strong mind, strong body and strong character through interscholastic cycling. There are chapters throughout the US and it's fun and easy to get involved.
